Connecticut Innovations (CI) was created in 1989 by the Connecticut Legislature, and is a quasi-public organization whose mission is to strengthen the state's economy by accelerating the growth of a vibrant, high-technology community. The organization makes equity investments in early-stage Connecticut technology companies focused in bioscience, information technology, photonics, and energy and environmental systems.
